The PMC laboratory’s key research activities include the study of electronic processes in semiconductors and quantum materials, the synthesis of nanostructured and optically active materials, the functionalization of inorganic surfaces, along with theoretical and numerical simulations of complex structures in materials and biological systems.
These works pave the way for applications in materials science, biomedical engineering, the energy transition and information and quantum technologies, giving rise to a wide range of collaborations with industry.
