Antigoni Alexandrou works on the biological and biomedical applications of luminescent nanoparticles doped with lanthanide ions. In the past, she has also worked on semiconductor nanostructures, their optical properties, and their electronic dynamics. She is a CNRS research director at the Laboratory of Optics and Biosciences (LOB, a joint research unit of the CNRS, École Polytechnique, and Inserm) and teaches at the master's level.
