Personal profile

Arthur Lebée is a Polytechnician (X2002), an engineer from the National School of Roads and Bridges, with a PhD in Materials and Structures, and is qualified to direct research. He is currently Chief Engineer of the Water and Forest Bridges Corps and researcher at the Navier Laboratory. As part of his teaching activities, he is a Master of Conferences at the National School of Roads and Bridges and a Lecturer at the Ecole Polytechnique.

Research interests

His research activities focus on methods of dimension reduction applied to mechanics and more particularly on the homogenization of materials and structures. His work focuses on the modeling of heterogeneous thick plates, enriched beams and architectured materials and on the emergence of generalized continuous media both in small deformations but also in large transformations. He applies these methods to inflatable structures, innovative wooden structures and origami mechanics.
