Audrey Auffrant's research focuses on organometallic complexes. In these systems, the properties of the metal center are influenced by organic molecules called ligands. The goal is to control the reactivity of these complexes so that they can be used as effective and selective catalysts in various chemical transformations. This involves creating original ligands that incorporate various atoms in addition to carbon, hydrogen, and metals.
