He is a development and environmental economist, with research interests in labor and firms.
He is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at CREST, ENSAE, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, and an Invited Researcher at the Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
His research aims to deepen the understanding of the social and environmental drivers of poverty. The first strand of his work focuses on labor and social networks in low-income countries, primarily using field experiments to study how individuals' labor supply decisions are influenced by their network members. The second strand examines how firms respond to environmental changes, combining insights from the natural sciences with applied microeconomic tools for causal inference.
He holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. During his doctoral studies, he served as a J-PAL Graduate Research Transparency Fellow and as a Lead Teaching Fellow at the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning.
