Personal profile

Personal profile

He is a researcher (HDR) in solid and structural mechanics from École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC). He works at Laboratoire Navier, in the Architected Materials and Structures team. He is also an Associate Professor at École Polytechnique in the Mechanical Engineering department.

Research interests

His research focuses on developing advanced mechanical models and innovative numerical simulation tools for the study of material and structural failure. To achieve this, he draws from a broad spectrum of disciplines, including applied mathematics (particularly convex analysis and optimization), as well as theoretical and computational mechanics. While a significant portion of his work is dedicated to fundamental methodological developments, he also pays particular attention to their application in engineering, especially in the field of civil engineering. In this context, his work addresses two major societal challenges: sustainable construction and risk management.

Keywords: nonlinear mechanics, convex optimization, structural failure, shape and topology optimization, brittle fracture, phase-field models.
