Karine Sartelet is Director of Research at CEREA at the École nationale des ponts et chaussées. She holds a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) at the University of Cambridge in England and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) in Japan. Over the past two decades, she has focused on understanding and improving representations in models of the most uncertain processes affecting air quality, with a particular interest in the physicochemical processes associated with particle formation. She has published 85 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
