Manuel Joffre is director of research at the CNRS and associate professor at Ecole polytechnique. He carries out his research activities at the Laboratory of Optics and Biosciences, common to Ecole Polytechnique, CNRS and INSERM, where he studies protein dynamics using femtosecond infrared lasers. He teaches quantum physics at the Ecole polytechnique.
