Personal profile

Personal profile

Her research focuses on the greening of spatial planning practices in post-industrial contexts. Grounded in environmental anthropology, it is based on multi-sited ethnographic fieldwork, primarily in France. She explores the knowledge and imaginaries associated with the emergence of alternative practices, the reassessment of existing infrastructures, and the dialogue between informal uses and institutional approaches.

A central thread in her work is the nurturing relationships between humans and other living beings—from the intimate to the planetary scale, spanning bodily fluids, biogeochemical cycles, and the rhythms of the biosphere.

She initially spent around ten years working on urban biodiversity management at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. Since 2018, at École des Ponts, she has turned her attention to more conventional urban services (such as waste and sanitation), at the intersection of agricultural, energy, and environmental protection issues. Her current research focuses particularly on the development of ecological sanitation in Europe and the institutionalization of alternative approaches to the management of water, excreta, and organic matter.
