Personal profile

Sylvie Méléard studied at the École Normale Supérieure in Fontenay-aux-Roses, holds an agrégation in mathematics, and defended her thesis in 1984 under the supervision of Nicole El Karoui at Paris VI University. She became a professor at Paris X University before teaching probability at École Polytechnique in September 2006. She currently directs the Master's program in Mathematics for Life Sciences (MSV), jointly with Paris-Saclay University and École Polytechnique, where she teaches random processes.
