Abstract

In this paper, the complex reflectivity of a DFB laser was spatially measured using a phase-sensitive optical low-coherence reflectometric technique in dependence with applied mechanical stress. And the /spl pi//2 phase-shifted Er/sup 3+/-Yb/sup 3+/ doped distributed feedback fibre laser was then characterised.
