Abstract
The characteristics of an F-shaped-probe feeding a triangular patch antenna with a small-size ground plane have been simulated and measured. A - 10-dB impedance bandwidth of 47% and an average gain of 6.4 dBi have been achieved. The phase of the far-field over the bandwidth has been studied to analyze the distortion induced by the antenna on an ultra-wideband (UWB) pulse signal.
