Abstract

In this paper, a directive sinuous slot antenna for Ultra Wideband (UWB) applications is presented. This antenna is feeding by a microstrip taper balun, which can be used as a coaxial line to Lecher line transition. To obtain directive antenna a reflector has been added and optimized. Finally we realized, a compact directive UWB slot sinuous antenna that is included in a 5 cm 3 volume. The balun and the antenna were modeled with CST Microwave studio. The conception of the antenna has been validated by measurements.
