Abstract

Heating O-methyl (S)-prop-2-ynyl dithiocarbonates 1a-c with electrophilic alkenes 7a-d containing nucleophilic acetoxy group gives 1,3-dithiol-2-ones 9 by a new carbon-carbon bond forming process.
