abstract = "An efficient dual mode model predictive control algorithm is proposed for time-invariant linear discrete-time systems with state and input constraints. The approach significantly enlarges the feasibility regions compared to dual mode approach. In addition, the unconstrained optimal performance for states near the origin is guaranteed. The efficacy of the approach is demonstrated via numerical example.",
