Abstract
In this report, we explore the electropolymerisation of a pyrrole modified amine, the 3-(ω-aminopropyl) pyrrole the amine must be protonated or protected in order to electropolymerize the monomer. The precursor polymers can be functionalised by various molecules via post polymerisation chemistry. Biomolecules such as biotin were substituted onto precursor polymers and biological recognition with avidin was determined by the change in redox properties of the backbone polymer.
