A new service delivery and provisioning architecture for home appliances

Abstract

This paper presents a new service delivery and provisioning architecture for home appliances, the basic idea is to subtly incorporate the SIP architecture into the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) based service delivery and provisioning system. Thus the strengths of OSGi and SIP based Internet telephony system are unified so that wide range of services and devices can be supported. A prototype system is implemented to show the features of the system.
