abstract = "We propose a probabilistic method to estimate the optimal phase shifts of a RIS in the absence of channel estimation. We formulate the problem with a bayesian approach and propose several algorithms to optimize the achievable rate. Numerical results compare the performances of the algorithm with well-known benchmarks. Our method outperforms those benchmarks on different codebooks both at high and low SNR.",
