Abstract
Performance of adaptive locally optimal Bayes' detectors for detecting continuous-phase frequency-shift-keyed (CPFSK) signals in impulsive non-Gaussian noise is investigated. Two models are used to characterize the noise process, the Johnson-Su system of densities and a mixture of normals model. Analytic estimation of performance along with simulation results illustrate the robustness of these adaptive schemes.
