Abstract
The use of SAR images in cartography seems to be difficult due to the intrinsic properties of images so that no automatic tool exists at present time. We propose a review of image processing dedicated to SAR images in this context, both for planimetric aspects and altimetric ones. Then we deal with the integration of objects inside a single cartography. Finally we analyse some improvements of the radar cartography aiming at making it complementary to the optical one for cloudy areas.
