Abstract

Ultra High Frequency Radio Acoustic Sounding System (UHF-RASS) measurements are compared with rawinsondes and SODAR data in the 50-900 m height range adapted to the UHF-RASS. The UHF-RASS gives good wind speed and direction up to 900m, the virtual temperature profiles are in good agreement with the rawinsonde data.
