abstract = "In this paper, we present an image processing chain that can interpret high resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery for building layover characterization and extraction in urban areas. It is composed of three main parts - generation of hint areas, generation of superpixels, and optimized cut of layovers via superpixel merging. The proposed framework is complete, and flexibly integrates necessary information, both area and boundary, for building layover extraction; the experimental results show that its performance is promising.",
