Abstract

Complete acoustic response measurements including damping parameter determination and fiber's asymmetry analysis are reported. The acoustic effect is incorporated in the nonlinear Schrodinger equation and the timing jitter evolution is investigated for a 10 Gb/s soliton transmission line.
