Cobalt-catalysed Csp3-Csp3 cross-coupling of benzyl Katritzky pyridinium salts with Callyl-O electrophiles

Abstract

Herein we report a Co-catalysed reductive cross-coupling to form Csp3-Csp3 bonds from two non-halogenated electrophiles, such as C-N and C-O bonds. This method provided different allylbenzyl derivatives in moderate to good yields under mild conditions from various functionalised benzyl Katritzky pyridinium salts and various allylic acetates, ethers or carbonates.
