Abstract

We propose an exhaustive review of shock and isothermal compression data of four pure explosives (TNT, RDX, HMX and NTO). Then we suggest a complete Mie-Grüneisen equation of state with a heat capacity function of a scaled temperature. We use these results to calculate universal Hugoniot relations for pure explosives, validated on 19 cast-cured explosives thanks to a multiphase approach.
