Abstract

A completely automated crystal spectrometer driven by a Macintosh computer using the LabVIEW graphical interfacing and driving software and uses charge coupled device (CCD) detectors for online readout of collected x-ray spectra is developed. The computer driven automatic spectrometer for the soft x-ray region has proven to be a useful experimental tool which can simplify spectra acquisition and analysis in laser-plasma experiments.
