Abstract
This paper is concerned with the numerical simulation of flows of viscous fluids over rough surfaces. The proposed methodology introduces consistant equivalent wall laws using Domain Decomposition techniques with nonmatching grids and local periodicity assumptions. The paper describes this approach with its theoretical background, studies its limitations and its potential applicability and compares its results to the boundary conditions that are obtained by alternative asymptotic strategies.
