( Crack propagation velocity and diplacement velocity in brittle or ductile fracture).

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The formulation of the rate problem of propagation and of displacement is discussed in fracture mechanics when the criterion of crack propagation is based upon dissipation analysis: Griffith's criterion in brittle fracture, energetic criterion (3) in ductile fracture. In quasi-static transformation, a symmetric description is proposed involving as principal unknowns the crack propagation velocity and the displacement velocity defined on the moving reference.-English summary
