Data Center's Energy Savings for Data Transport via TCP on Hybrid Optoelectronic Switches

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

We report on possible 75% lower energy consumption for packet transport in data center networks replacing Electronic with Hybrid Optical Packet Switching (optical switches with a shared electronic buffer) combined with enhanced Transmission Control Protocol.
