Abstract
Electrical resistivity and positron lifetime measurements are used to demonstrate that short range ordering in irradiated alloys is induced by long range migration of radiation defects. The mobility of defects at the irradiation temperature determines the dominant process: production of Frenkel pairs or ordering.
