Abstract

We have found clear evidence for 2-dimensional dislocation-mediated flux motion in a high temperature superconductor. Results of the ac-susceptibility experiment on Bi₂Dr₂CaCu₂O_8+δ are compared with theory. Good agreement is obtained using a single-parameter- fit. A very reasonable value of the mean distance between pinning defects is obtained.
