Dynamics of third harmonic yield from a femtosecond laser filament in air

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Efficient third harmonic (TH) can be generated when an intense infrared (IR) femtosecond laser pulse is focused in ambient air [1, 2]. This method provides an extremely simple and robust way to obtain ultrashort pulse in the UV regime. From the point view of applications, high conversion efficiency is always desired. However, up to now the optimal conditions for this conversion process is not clear.
