Abstract

Measurement of electron affinity of atomic oxygen was done using a photodetachment microscopy. For 17O-, calculation of the hyperfine structure was done, which permitted to add the electron affinity of 17O to the series of the measured electron affinities of oxygen isotopes. Comparison of the anomalous isotope shift of these electron affinities was done with ab initio calculations.
