Abstract
We address the problem of joint bandwidth and power allocation for type-I HARQ when the objective is to maximize the energy efficiency of the network under the Rician channel. We consider a per link minimum goodput constraint. Our derivations take into account practical modulation and coding schemes and we consider that only statistical channel state information is available to perform the resource allocation (RA). Through simulations, we show the advantage of explicitly taking into account the Rician channel during the RA process instead of the conventional Rayleigh one.
