Abstract

This erratum corrects the 2.1 section for this paper [\Biomed. Opt. Express 16, 3270 (2025)] In the 2.1 section of our recent article [1], the corneal culture media have an error. The 4th sentence of this section (page 3271, last line) must be corrected as follows: Eight corneas were processed as reported previously [Ref. 21 in [1]]: they were preserved in an appropriate culture medium (CorneaMax, Eurobio) in an incubator set at 31°C, then placed for 48 h in a cornea deturgescence medium without phenol red (StemAlpha 3 without phenol red, StemAlpha) to induce deswelling and elimination of the phenol red present in the previous culture medium, prior to fixation in 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) for 24 h at 4 °C.
