Abstract

After some exchanges with fellow researchers, in the article “Modelling energy deposition in TR image plate detectors for various ion types”, we spotted a mistake in the code we used for this article. That mistakes affects the parameters used in the equations stated in the article, but not the overall conclusions which are drawn. For the figures 1, 2 and 3 which corresponds to the best fit to the published calibrations for light ions, the exact parameters are A = 2.4 × 10−4 PSL.keV−1 and B = 0.15 Å . eV−1. For the figures 4, 5 and 6 which corresponds to the best fit for Ti, the exact parameters are A = 1.0 × 10−4 PSL.keV−1 and B = 0.02 Å . eV−1. This mistake has no incidence on the comparison with or without urethane. The matlab code we used to get those figures can be found at: https://fr.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/80623-modelling-energy-deposition-intr-image-plate. (Figure Presetned).
