Abstract

The role of strongly reactive biogenic hydrocarbons in secondary gaseous pollutants and aerosols formation was studied. The sensitivity of biogenic volatile organic compound modeling in the global process of secondary pollutants formation was also analyzed. A new chemical mechanism including a more realistic description of biogenic processes were developed in a continental scale model. It was found that the oxidation of D-limonene produces numerous biogenic particles.
