Experimental and theoretical study of line mixing in NH3 spectra. II. Effect of the perturber in infrared parallel bands

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A model was proposed for the construction of the line-mixing relaxation matrix for the mixtures of NH3 with hydrogen and argon. Pure hydrogen spectra was recorded since the collision induced absorption by H 2 was significant in the spectral regions at elevated density. The significant differences between the absorption shapes of NH3 induced by collisions with He, Ar and H2 were studied. The quality of the model was confirmed by the comparisons between the measured and calculated absorptions by NH3-H2 in the transparency windows and rotational transitions.
