Abstract

We performed a multi-parameter campaign of measurements of 34-90 GBd, PDM-QPSK and 8QAM channels transmitted over up to 10,476km links, and tested different types of lasers with different linewidths (from <1-KHz to >100-kHz) to experimentally determine the impact of equalization-enhanced phase noise in submarine transmission systems.
