Abstract
The partial and integral enthalpies of mixing of the binary (Ga, Zn) liquid phase have been measured at 717 K by Calvet drop calorimetry. A fifth order Redlich-Kister model has been established for the three binary liquids (Al-Ga), (Al-Zn) and (Ga-Zn). The two isopleths xAl = xGa and 4 xAl = xZn in the ternary (Al-Ga-Zn) system have been explored by drop calorimetry to determine the ternary term of the Redlich-Kister model extended to the whole system.
