Abstract

This communication shows the demographic and legal characteristics and statistics levels of risk of recidivism of a sample of 55 criminal offenders sentenced to lengthy prison terms. Assessments of risk levels were conducted on an exploratory basis, using the Hare Psychopathy Check-List-Revised (PCL-R), the Violence Risk Appraisal Guide (VRAG), the Sex Offender Risk Appraisal Guide (SORAG) and STATIC 99-R. We report the average result, the distribution of scores into risk categories, inter-correlation of tools and several statistical analyzes.
