Abstract
The PADEN project proposes to non-French speaking students of French Engineering Schools an e-training in the field of French for communication in a scientific context. The environment focuses on the student, his/her characteristics and his/her needs. This paper presents the PADEN project and the way by which the distance-learning environment has taken the expectations and needs of non-French speaking students into account. It draws up the assessment of the experimentations of the distance-learning environment and explains the ensuing evolutions.
