Abstract
It has recently been demonstrated how a collinear pump-probe interferometric experiment gives access to the molecular dephasing processes at the femtosecond time scale. We compare the performances of this approach and the well-known photon echo technique to analyse the nature of the broadening mechanisms in resonant transitions.
