Abstract
A method for synthesis is proposed which relies on topological formulation of the network functions by means of directed trees. It is shown that the special synthesis methods, valid for peculair network structures only, can be obtained from the presented method. Two applications are given: finding of the Cauer method algorithm and synthesis of a diport without ideal transformers.
