Abstract
The effect of brittle-to-ductile transition (BDT) fillers in C-C composites was studied with respect to one-step manufacturing process to graphitization. BDT properties shown in a given high temperature of inorganic fillers allowed fabrication of C-C composites to be carried out in one liquid impregnation step to graphitization temperature. Further, the fillers produced a progressive carbonization of the resin matrix during carbonization and reduced a sudden isotropic linkage during graphitization.
