Abstract

Very stable surface gratings were inscribed in azo-hybrid thin films prepared by the sol-gel process. These materials generally offer great flexibility. To take advantage of this feature, it is crucial to control the cross-linking of the silica-based polymers and the polarization state of the writing beams.
