Abstract

The interaction of an ultra-short, ultra-intense, 30-fs CPA laser pulse with a plasma preformed by the laser ASE from a thin foil target was studied using the exploding foil technique. Optical measurements confirmed the achievement of the appropriate interaction conditions for LWA. Electron measurements revealed the bremsstrahlung radiation from high-energy electrons.
