High performances integrated single-photon sources

Abstract

Resonantly-excited quantum dots inserted in an electrically controlled pillar cavity are shown to produce single photons with a purity and indistinguishability exceeding 99% and a brightness 20 times higher than SPDC based heralded single-photon sources.
