High temperature absorption of the 3.39 μm He-Ne Laser line by Methane

Abstract

The absorptivity of methane diluted in N2 for the 3.39 μm laser line has been measured in the 290-800 K temperature range. Line-by-line calculations are in good agreement with the experimental data. Tabulations of the temperature dependence of the absorption are given for the 300-2000 K range.
