Abstract

This paper summarizes the theory of Huygens' metasurfaces and analyzes the effect of the electric and magnetic surface impedance on transmission, reflection, and absorption properties of these metasurfaces, providing a foundation for designing metasurface antennas for beamsteering, lensing and other electromagnetic wave manipulation applications.
